It was great to see everyone at our January General Meeting! Thank you Sue for bringing Girls at Work to Hollis. Girls at Work focuses on empowering young girls through the use of power tools. From what we heard, this medium has an enormous effect in creating confidence, leadership skills and team building. The program has also expanded to older aged groups along with women and in the workplace. They are having a Fundraiser March 3rd and it looks like a lot of fun. The Hollis Woman’s Club funds 3 scholarships each year. Money for the scholarships is raised through member donations, and sales of merchandise at the festivals and events sponsored throughout the year by the Hollis Woman’s Club.
