HOLLIS WOMAN’S CLUB ANNUAL LUNCHEON MEETING

AND

INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS

Call to order at the Manchester Country Club by President Kaaren Eastman.

There was no official business meeting, but Kaaren made these announcements:

1. A schedule of upcoming activities is available on the website.

2. The HWC will be represented in the Hollis Memorial Day Parade on May 29; marchers from the Club are needed and sign-up is encouraged.

3. The Strawberry Festival will be on Sunday, June 25; many volunteers are still needed, and sign-up is encouraged.

4. Centennial Celebration Charity Collections have been held at every meeting this year.  Kaaren thanked members who brought items for today’s collection of snack items for the Southern NH Rescue Mission, and thanked all the members who have made the year-long Centennial Celebration Charity Collection so successful.

5. The Centennial Celebration Party will be at the Lawrence Barn on Saturday, August 26. Volunteers will be needed to help with this event, and sign-up is encouraged. 

Following lunch, Kaaren recognized members of the HWC Board for 2005-2006 and expressed her gratitude for their participation.

Lydia Schellenberg directed the installation of officers of the HWC Board for 2006-2007 (see April minutes for a listing of the new officers).

Diana Kroeger, in her new capacity as Club President, thanked Kaaren for her three years of devoted and energetic service as Club President, and presented her with a token of the Club’s great appreciation.
